The pillow is built with 4 layers of fabric - the outside pocket on each side (of the outside) contains the down only.  The middle compartment contains the feathers only. This gives the pillow a softer feel to the touch and provides slightly firmer support for the head and shoulders. The pillow is built with a zipper closure to provide adjustable filling if required.
